
CUNY offers graduate work leading to a wide range of degrees. CUNY is at the forefront in graduating scientists, writers, teachers, health-care professionals, government leaders, artists, systems analysts, scholars, and engineers, among many other professionals. Eleven CUNY alumni have won the Nobel Prize, a record unmatched by any other public institution of higher learning in the world.

Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.)
The Au.D. degree will be awarded by the Graduate Center, CUNY. The campuses involved in the Au.D. program include Brooklyn College, The Graduate Center, and Hunter College. Courses will be offered at each of these campuses, and clinical practica will take place at the Speech and Hearing Centers located on the Brooklyn and Hunter College campuses.

The Doctor of Nursing Science Program is scheduled to begin in the Fall 2006 semester, pending approval by the New York State Education Department.

Doctor of Physical Therapy (D.P.T.)
The Graduate Center (GC), Hunter College, and the College of Staten Island offer jointly a clinical doctoral program in physical therapy leading to the DPT degree (The GC will award the degree). This new program will replace the current master's level program at Hunter College and the College of Staten Island. The new program is in keeping with the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) recommendation that physical therapists be doctorally credentialed. The program conforms to curriculum guidelines set by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE). Graduates will be eligible for the National Physical Therapy Examination in New York and other States.
