COPE Services

COPE Support Services

COPE can help you cope while pursuing your CUNY college education! COPE offers a variety of support services including: educational counseling, assistance with registration/scheduling, tutoring, childcare referrals and preparation for social service appointments to help you meet college and HRA requirements in order to graduate!

COPE Job Placement

COPE offers extensive job placement services including: job readiness, job preparation, job placement and follow-up. A key goal is for students to obtain meaningful employment that will lead to long-term economic self-sufficiency. COPE helps current and former students find part-time or full-time employment, and provides post-employment counseling and incentives to promote retention.

Family College

If you are a Family Assistance recipient or are the parent of a dependent child between 4-7 years of age and fall within 200% of the Federal Poverty Level and wish to pursue a college education, you should consider Family College! Students in this program work towards an Associate's Degree while their children attend an on-campus elementary school.
The Family College program is only available at Kingsborough Community College.

College Opportunity to Prepare for Employment (COPE) program is funded by and operated in collaboration with the Family Independence Administration of the City of New York Human Resources Administration (HRA) . Services are available to anyone who is a current or former CUNY student or applicant, and who is either receiving Family Assistance cash benefits (Temporary Assistance to Needy Families, Safety Net Family Assistance, Safety Net Single Assistance), or who meets federal income guidelines for families with income under 200% of the Federal Poverty Level.
