Campaign for Student Success

One of the most important markers of success at a university is the achievement of its students. At CUNY, this is our highest priority. We offer students excellent educational opportunities and the chance to surpass their own expectations. CUNY’s first-rate educational programs and the supportive attention students receive from faculty and staff promote success. When students thrive, they, in turn, contribute to society by making it stronger, more productive, and more optimistic. »

Black Male Initiative

An important new initiative intended to increase, encourage, and support the inclusion and educational success of under-represented groups in higher education, in particular black males. All programs and activities of the Black Male Initiative are open to all academically eligible students, faculty and staff, without regard to race, gender, national origin, or other characteristic. »

Latino Faculty Initiative

Established in Fall 2006, the CUNY Puerto Rican Faculty Recruitment Project seeks to link qualified Puerto Rican/Latino(a) candidates to faculty positions within CUNY. To this end, the Project will engage in outreach and recruitment, and work with CUNY colleges to advance their faculty’s diversity. »

Integrating Mathematics Across the Curriculum (IMAC)

The goal of CUNY’s Integrating Mathematics Across the Curriculum (IMAC) project is to promote an appreciation for the multiple ways that we rely on and use mathematics. It advances the belief in the widespread utility of mathematics and encourages a positive, confident approach. Facility with mathematics is essential both for students’ success within the University and beyond it, in our increasingly technologically advanced global society. IMAC thus engages both CUNY faculty and staff across the disciplines as collaborators in building students’ skills and confidence. »
