Requirements

Filing an Application

Students may apply to the Macaulay Honors College program if they plan to attend Baruch, Brooklyn, City, College of Staten Island, Hunter, Lehman, or Queens.

Awards include full-tuition scholarships and stipends, a laptop computer, and a study grant.

• Excellent high school academic record, SAT I or ACT scores
• Essay
• Two teacher/advisor recommendations
• An interview, in some cases

• Complete online Macaulay Honors College application at www.cuny.edu/apply
• Deadlines:
  Early decision - November 1
  Regular decision - December 15

Peter F. Vallone Academic Scholarship Program

Awards funds annually for 10 semesters of baccalaureate degree study. This award is dependent on annual funding by the NYC Council.

• High school average of B or better with a minimum of 12 high school academic units
• Graduation from a New York City high school within the past 12 months with no attendance at any postsecondary institution
• Must enroll as a full-time student
• In order to retain eligibility, students must maintain a 3.0 GPA. In addition, baccalaureate degree students must complete 90 credits by the end of the 8th semester.

• There is no application for this scholarship; students must be admitted to a CUNY college and must have completed the FAFSA.

The Baruch Incentive Grant

$500 to $3000 annually for four years

• Academic grades of 85% or better
• Combined SAT I score of 1150
• Two teacher/advisor recommendations

• Full-time undergraduate student carrying at least 12 credits
• Completed at least 16 CUNY credits with a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or better
• Good character and significant service to CUNY, the community, and/or college
