Internet surfers recently may have come across Chancellor Reynolds' 1996-1997 Budget Request to the State of New York, undoubtedly causing them to apply their brakes (to mix metaphors somewhat)!

The CUNY WWW Home Page, and our "Gopher Hole" both have housed timely documents of interest to the CUNY community. In addition to the budget request, copies of testimony to the City Council in September, regarding the HRA's Education and Training Policies for Public Assistance Recipients, by Vice Chancellor Elsa Nunez-Wormack, Hostos President Isaura Santiago Santiago, and Hostos student Keith Robinson have been made available. As of September 30th, 1995, over 1000 people visited the gopher site for the purpose of reading the budget request.
