CUNY/Computing and Information Services serves as the central computing facility for the City University of New York. Computing resources are also available (for a fee) to universities and other nonprofit organizations. CUNY/CIS is connected via the Internet to many educational and other organizations. The primary Internet node for CUNY/CIS is CUNYVM.CUNY.EDU.
Computers at CUNY/CIS include a partitioned IBM 3090-600J with Vector Facility, operating under MVS/ESA and JES3, and VM/ESA. Dialup telephone numbers for these systems are: (212) 974-8680 for 9600bps and (212) 974-8600 for IBM 7171 300/1200/2400bps. The CUNY/CIS Support Center (CTRCU) may be contacted at (212) 541-0981.
