New Multimedia Program Near Completion

The third program incorporating the interactive videodisc model begun with "The Five Points: A Multimedia Experience in Social History" is now nearly finished, with implementation expected in the Fall of 1995. (FYeI reported on the second module, "Heaven Will Protect the Working Girl" in its Spring 1994 issue.) The program, entitled "Central High" and designed by Professor Anthony Picciano of Hunter College, examines the integration of Little Rock Central High School in 1957. Using video from the highly-acclaimed documentary on the Civil Rights movement, "Eyes on the Prize," "Central High" attempts to introduce college undergraduates to the post-Brown vs. the Board of Education period in the American South.
