![]() The 2008 Honorees
The City University of New York is pleased to announce the winners of the Murray Kempton Awards for Journalism. Named for the famed columnist who captured the soul of the city while often serving as its conscience, these awards recognize a professional journalist for outstanding public service and special awards that honor the contributions of outstanding undergraduate student journalists. The awards will be presented at CUNY’s Journalism, Broadcast and New Media Conference and Career Fair on Oct. 3, 2008. Student award winners are recipients of scholarship awards underwritten by the Economist.
