On Thursday March 29, more than 200 high school students from around New York City gathered at the American Museum of Natural History for the final round of the 2016 New York City Science & Engineering Fair.

A recent PBS NewsHour segment notes that “states across the country are watching an effort in New York City that promises to more than double graduation rates at community colleges.” That effort is the Accelerated Study in Associate Programs, which provide CUNY students with the academic, social, and financial support they need to graduate with an Associate in Arts or Associate in Applied Science degree in no more than three years.
