Real estate brokerage company Modern Spaces announced today that Dana Frankel has been hired as its new Director of Business Development and Community Relations.

Frankel joined the Queens-based firm to further strengthen the relationship that Modern Spaces has with the communities it serves, including Long Island City, Astoria, Williamsburg and Chelsea. Frankel will be responsible for cultivating new business opportunities for Modern Spaces by fostering new relationships with developers, property owners and real estate industry stakeholders. She will also plan local events that grow the Modern Spaces brand and engage the community, assist with government relations and help with the pre-planning of major new development projects.

“During her four years with the LIC Partnership, Dana was the go-to person for every developer and property owner in the neighborhood. She led real estate initiatives and managed BID services, creating invaluable relationships with local leaders. Dana also has a strong understanding of the Long Island City real estate market, allowing her to intelligently source new business leads that are a fit for the firm,” said Eric Benaim, founder and CEO of Modern Spaces. “As Modern Spaces continues to grow, we’ve recognized the need for a full-time expert who can focus on conveying our reputation and business principles to neighborhood organizations and residents, as well as to developers looking for partners on ground-up projects.”
