During this holiday season, we acknowledge that there are many traditions and ways that people celebrate, as well as some do not celebrate the holidays.

This is an excellent time to make sure your beneficiary designations and emergency contact information are current.

During this time of the year, we tend to get consumed with “busyness,” wear ourselves out and become too tired to enjoy the holiday season. In December, the Professional Development and Learning Management Office is offering three one-day courses designed to help everyone master their time, manage personal as well as work commitments, and manage stress.

As part of our professional development program, we will offer training opportunities to our Central Office staff, in collaboration with the Professional Development and Learning Management Office and DCAS Citywide Training Center.

Soon it will be time to complete annual performance evaluations for HEO Series staff members. An evaluation is a formal performance communication and feedback tool that is a critical component of an employee’s career and professional development.

During this holiday season, please be reminded that the New York State Commission on Public Integrity (NYSCPI) through the Public Officers Law has established a zero tolerance policy regarding gifts of any value, from prohibited sources.
