Soon it will be time to complete annual performance evaluations for HEO Series staff members. An evaluation is a formal performance communication and feedback tool that is a critical component of an employee’s career and professional development. The purpose of the performance evaluation is to assess an employee’s total work performance; set long and short-term goals, objectives and performance targets to be achieved; encourage improvement; and provide a basis for employment decisions. One should refer to an employee’s job description or specification, as well as the department’s goals and how the employee’s position contributes to these goals.
Please take this managerial/supervisory responsibility seriously. Managers of HEO Series staff members will be notified shortly to schedule performance appraisal conferences and complete evaluations.
