The John Hancock Long Term Care Program recently informed the PSC Welfare Fund that new enrollments for this voluntary coverage will be discontinued, effective January 1, 2012. If you are already enrolled in this program, this message does not pertain to you. However, if you have been considering long-term care insurance, now is the time act.

Now is the time to submit your annual enrollment/deferral percentage deduction changes for the Tax Deferred Annuity Plans. Tax Deferred Annuity contributions are deducted pre-tax from your paycheck on a biweekly basis, while your earnings grow tax-deferred. Pre-tax contributions in some plans allows you to reduce your current federal, state, local and NYS income taxes.
