CUNY is Tobacco-free

June 2018

The use of tobacco is prohibited on all grounds and facilities under CUNY jurisdiction, including indoor locations, outdoor locations such as playing fields, entrances and exits to buildings and parking lots, making CUNY the largest smoke-free university system in the United States.   The ban includes tobacco industry promotions, advertising, marketing, and distribution of marketing materials on campus properties, and tobacco industry sponsorship of athletic events and athletes.  This policy applies to all tobacco and tobacco products including chew tobacco and e-cigarettes.   Please visit our CUNY Tobacco Free Policy on our CUNY.edu website:  http://www2.cuny.edu/about/university-resources/healthy-cuny/tobacco-free-cuny/development-of-tobacco-free-policy/
