COHR Presents Supervisory Development Seminars

January 2015

COHR Presents is a series of two to three-hour seminars with presentations conducted by senior HR staff to provide our University managers and supervisors with practical training and guidance regarding essential tax levy human resource matters. These seminars are designed to provide managers and supervisors with current information about contractual provisions, plus University policies, procedures, and practices.

February 2015 COHR Training Workshops

In February 2015, we will offer two training workshops entitled, Conducting Effective Performance Evaluation Conferences and Preparing for Supervision. These workshops are geared towards new and experienced department heads, program directors, team leaders, and general managers and supervisors to help them develop the skills to prepare performance evaluations and discuss work performance more effectively with their staff members.

This February and March, we are offering three training workshops entitled, Reframing Difficult Workplace Conversations for Positive Outcomes, Dealing with Conflict on Work Teams, and Resilience at Work as part of our annual professional development program.

As part of our annual professional development program, Central Office Human Resources offers targeted training opportunities to our staff members, in collaboration with the Professional Development and Learning Management Office and the NYC Citywide Training Center.

June 2012

Central Office Human Resources (COHR) and the Office of Professional Development and Learning Management (PDLM) have contracted with the Citywide Training Center of the New York City Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) to conduct two workshops in June 2012, Making the Connection: Customer Service Excellence on June 7, and Managerial Power Tools: Motivating, Delegating and Team-building on June 13.
