As part of our annual professional development program, Central Office Human Resources offers targeted training opportunities to our staff members, in collaboration with the Professional Development and Learning Management Office and the NYC Citywide Training Center.

Central Office Human Resources (COHR) and the Office of Professional Development and Learning Management (PDLM) have contracted with the Citywide Training Center of the New York City Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) to conduct two workshops in June 2012, Making the Connection: Customer Service Excellence on June 7, and Managerial Power Tools: Motivating, Delegating and Team-building on June 13.

January is “Managerial Leadership” month, and there are four courses designed to help directors, managers, and supervisors effectively manage their staff and improve departmental operations and productivity.

The Professional Development and Learning Management Office (PDLM) offers various training opportunities for staff members. Since technology is the theme for October, several classes, including Personal Computer Essentials, Excel, Word, and Power Point will be offered.

During this time of the year, we tend to get consumed with “busyness,” wear ourselves out and become too tired to enjoy the holiday season. In December, the Professional Development and Learning Management Office is offering three one-day courses designed to help everyone master their time, manage personal as well as work commitments, and manage stress.

As part of our professional development program, we will offer training opportunities to our Central Office staff, in collaboration with the Professional Development and Learning Management Office and DCAS Citywide Training Center.
