As part of its Mentoring for Achievement Initiative, NYC Service is collaborating with the Young Men’s Initiative to assist in recruiting mentors. Located in 25 Cornerstones in New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) community centers, the collaboration will work to include mentoring activity as part of the Young Men’s Initiative programs. Mentors will support youth in fifth through ninth grades during the transitions from elementary to middle school and middle school to high school by cultivating positive personal relationships and community involvement.
