CUNY Prep students fanned out around the Bronx this month to register voters for the upcoming New York City Mayoral election.
Students and faculty hit the streets together to raise awareness about the campaign and registered about 200 voters on the spot.
“We were pleased with the response we received in the community,” said Humanities Teacher Jenna Martinez. “Voter turnout is traditionally pretty low in a non-presidential election and we wanted to remind people to let their voices be heard. This is an important race for our city.”
