Dan Amon keynote speaker for April EHSO meeting

Dan Amon was the keynote speaker for the April EHSO meeting that took place on April 12, 2007 at the College of Staten Island. Mr. Amon is the National Energy Manager, OARM/OA/FMSD/Sustainable Facilities Practices Branch, on EPA’s Labs 21 Program. Mr. Amon discussed the EPA’s joint effort with the Department of Energy to improve environmental performance at U.S. laboratories. He also expounded on some principles and benefits of the program, including: adopting low-energy design, reducing operating cost, increasing health, safety, worker productivity, and improving environmental quality.
