Jim Kerr Speaks to Risk Management Council about NYU’s Emergency Management and Global Travel Policies

July 28, 2009 | Risk Management

July’s Risk Management Council meeting featured a presentation by Jim Kerr, Director of Emergency Management and Business Continuity at New York University, titled “Emergency Management and Global Travel in an Academic Environment: The NYU Model.” Mr. Kerr discussed some of the tools and policies implemented by NYU that provide intelligence on risks in particular areas, facilitate communication with NYU members abroad, and provide assistance to those abroad during emergencies. The comprehensive presentation and question and answer session that followed were well received by an audience that had a good representation of study abroad coordinators.
