Rachel Stein Dickinson of OEM Speaks to the Business Continuity Committee about Continuity of Operations Planning (COOP)

August 20, 2009 | Business Continuity Committee

The Business Continuity Committee’s July meeting featured a presentation by Rachel Stein Dickinson, Deputy Commissioner for Finance, Policy and Administration at the NYC Office of Emergency Management (OEM), who oversees OEM’s Continuity of Operations Planning (COOP). Ms. Dickinson discussed creating, upholding and regulating business continuity plans and addressed ways in which OEM has assisted other agencies and can assist CUNY – such as providing support in creating training programs for staff, providing business continuity tools, worksheets and planning guides, and providing a 24-hour support line. CUNY will continue working with Ms. Dickinson in developing and implementing its business continuity plan.
