“During one of his budget presentations for CUNY’s Executive Leadership Program, he was cajoled into sharing his CUNY history.”

February 8, 2010 | Memorial

Ernesto was a big believer in employee development.  During one of his budget presentations for CUNY’s Executive Leadership Program, he was cajoled into sharing his CUNY history.  He emphasized that he had turned from government relations to finance and budget because someone offered a training program in financial matters that he attended.  He stated that he understood the subject matter and felt that he could do that work well.  So, he switched over to the finance and budget side of the University when an opportunity became available to him.  This was one of the principal reasons, he supported professional development for CUNY employees.  Adios, Ernesto.  We miss you.
