Unfortunately I never met Mr. Malave although I have worked for CUNY for 22 years.  However, I have heard of him and always felt a deep admiration especially as an empowering Latino/Puerto Rican we can all collectively look up to and emulate.  RIP and rest assured that your legacy will always inspire us!
