Borough of Manhattan Community College Reopens Monday, October 1, 2001

Borough of Manhattan Community College of The City University of New York will reopen for classes on Monday, October 1. The College’s Tribeca campus had been closed since September 11 to assist in the World Trade Center rescue and recovery effort.

Students, faculty, and staff are advised to report at least 30 minutes prior to their regularly scheduled times and enter the main campus via the North Entrance on North Moore Street, between Greenwich and West Streets. The main entrance at 199 Chambers Street is closed. The North Moore Street entrance is two blocks north of Chambers Street.

All students, faculty, and staff must show their BMCC ID card and another photo ID.

Fiterman Hall, 30 West Broadway, is closed. Classes formerly held at Fiterman Hall are relocated to the main campus. Students and faculty with classes that were held in Fiterman Hall should stop at the BMCC Welcome/Directory Stations to find the new classroom assignments. Signs will be posted.
