2005 ING New York City Marathon T-shirt Graphic Designed by Brooklyn Community College Professor Student and Alumnus

Brooklyn N.Y. – For the third straight time three members of Kingsborough Community College Community have teamed together to win the world-wide contest for the design of the ING NYC Marathon Official T-shirt. Their graphic will be placed on the thousands of t-shirts that runners in the Marathon will be given before the race on Sunday, November 6, 2005. The design team, which was brought together at Kingsborough Community College, includes a Professor of Graphic Design, Susan Spivack, an alumnus of Kingsborough (’98), Jerry Colandrea, who is currently the Professor’s partner in a design company called Susan Spivack Graphic Design and a student of Kingsborough interning at the design firm.

This is a wonderful television, radio and print opportunity leading up to this year’s marathon. The design team made up of teacher, former student and current-day student have won this contest three times in a row and all three live in Brooklyn. All three are true hometown success stories and would make a good story for a business magazine, newspaper or television outlet.

Designers are willing to be interviewed the day of the marathon, at the event, by media outlets as the thousands of runners run through the five boroughs.
