BRONX, NY—The Lehman College and Community Chorus will give its annual free Winter Concert on Sunday, December 11, at 2:30 p.m. in the Lehman Concert Hall. Complimentary tickets will be available at the Box Office at 1 p.m. on the day of the performance.
Featuring the music of Mozart, the concert is a preview of next year’s 250th anniversary of Mozart’s birth. Directed by Lehman Professor Diana Mittler-Battipaglia and accompanied by the Lehman Symphony Orchestra, the 135-member chorus will perform Mozart’s Solemn Vespers, as well as shorter works by Mozart, Mendelssohn, Thompson, Casteinuovo-Tedesco, and other multi-cultural selections.
The program also features the Festival Brass Ensemble. Members of the chorus include Lehman students, alumni, faculty, staff and a broad selection of residents from many communities in the Bronx and its vicinity.
A senior college of the City University of New York, Lehman is located at Goulden Avenue and Bedford Park Boulevard in the northwest Bronx and is accessible by bus as well as the #4 and “D” subway lines. Free attended parking is also available.
