Latin Legends of Comedy Make Appearance at Queensborough

Bayside, New York–On Saturday, January 28 at 8 p.m., The Latin Legends of Comedy will make an appearance at the Queensborough Performing Arts Center. More than 20 years ago, Joe Vega, JJ Ramirez and Angel Salazar, together known as the Latin Legends of Comedy, merged onto the standup comedy scene of New York and became Latino pioneers. These top Latino Comedians have been friends since the beginning of their careers, and continuously perform stellar concerts.

Accompanying their national tour is a documentary film featuring these comedians. Directed and produced by Ray Ellin, a friend and fellow comic, who documented the lives of these three Latin favorites and their 23-year friendship capturing their struggles and ultimate successes.

Joe Vega tours the US regularly with singer Marc Anthony and comic Chris Rock; JJ Ramirez headlines all over the country and has written material for comic great John Leguizamo and Angel Salazar “Mr. Scheck It Out” is familiar to fans of the movies Scareface, Punchline and Carlito’s Way.

Celebrating 40 years of legends, life and culture is what it’s all about at the Queensborough Performing Arts Center. The center is located on the Queensborough Community College campus in the heart of Bayside, with ample free parking and easily accessible from New York City, Nassau and Queens.
