Bronx, NY – The Bronx Community College Foundation Annual Hall of Fame Scholarship Gala will take place on Wednesday, June 7 at Gotham Hall, 1356 Broadway in Manhattan. Cocktails will be served at 6 p.m. and dinner, dancing and an awards ceremony will begin at 7 p.m. The evening will include live music along with a sumptuous dinner and an open bar. Proceeds from the event will go towards student scholarships. The PUBLIC IS INVITED.
The honorees for the evening will be Dr. Roscoe C. Brown, Jr., President Emeritus of Bronx Community College and a former Tuskegee Airman; Mr. William Bobenhausen, President of Sustainable Design Collaborative, LLC and a Bronx Community College graduate who focuses on environmental architecture; Ms. Johnnie Booker, Director of Supplier Diversity for The Coca Cola Company, formerly Deputy Assistant Secretary of Fair Housing & Equal Opportunity with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development; and, Dr. Angela Diaz, Professor of Pediatrics and Director of the Adolescent Health Center at Mount Sinai School of Medicine who has worked internationally on health projects in Asia, Central and South America, Europe and Africa.
“This is our annual opportunity to greet old friends and make new ones,” notes BCC President Carolyn Williams. “It is an occasion that allows for considerable networking and, most importantly, it helps us to raise much needed funds to assist our students with their educational and financial needs.”
