Lehman College and Community Chorus to Present Winter Concert December 3

BRONX, NY — The Lehman College and Community Chorus will present its annual free winter concert on Sunday, December 3, at 2:30 p.m. in the Lehman Concert Hall. Complimentary tickets will be available at the Box Office beginning at 1 p.m. on the day of the performance.

Featured in the program will be Haydn’s Lord Nelson Mass. Directed by Lehman Professor Diana Mittler-Battipaglia and accompanied by the Lehman Symphony Orchestra, the 150-member chorus will also perform shorter works by Mendelssohn, Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Dawson and others. The program will include Sarasate’s Gypsy Airs and the Thunder and Lightning Polka by Johann Strauss.

Members of the chorus include Lehman students, alumni, faculty, staff and a broad selection of residents from many communities in the Bronx and the greater New York area.

A senior college of the City University of New York, Lehman is located at Goulden Avenue and Bedford Park Boulevard in the northwest Bronx and is accessible by bus as well as the #4 and “D” subway lines. Free attended parking is also available.
