On Sunday, December 27, 2009, Dr. Carlos Molina, Dean for Special Programs at Eugenio Maria de Hostos Community College, appeared on Channel 7 ABC TV’s Tiempo, a weekly roundtable discussion about topics affecting and relating to Hispanics. The show was hosted by ABC Eyewitness News Reporter Joe Torres.
Dean Molina appeared with Ms. Susana Delamonica of the New York City Health and Hospital Corporation (HCC) to talk about Hostos Community College’s Healthcare Interpreter Training Program. This initiative trains bilingual and multilingual students to serve as qualified hospital interpreters so that they can help individuals who speak little or no English navigate the complex healthcare system.
