Rapunzel ’11 Comes to Lehman College

December 13, 2010 | Lehman College

Professor Penny Prince (Music) is seeking actors, singers, stage crew, and artists for a new staging of Rapunzel, a German fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm. Rapunzel tells the story of a girl who must find herself beneath her tresses, and the dysfunctional characters she encounters along the way.

The cast and crew will collaborate on the script and present this original musical in May at Lehman College. Auditions are by appointment only, on Wednesday, February 2, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. and on Thursday, February 3, from 5 to 9 p.m. Call Professor Prince at 718-960-7796 and leave your phone number to receive an appointment.

Professor Prince’s recent musical Sleeping Beauty ’10 was performed at Lehman in May 2010 and aired on BronxNet throughout the summer. Her previous musicals include Dither Farm (a play based on Sid Hite’s classic children’s book Rumpelstiltskin), Cinderella, and When I Get to Where I Am Going.
