Associate Professor of History William deJong-Lambert has Received a $25,000 Science, Technology and Society Grant

Associate Professor of History William deJong-Lambert has received a $25,000 Science, Technology and Society grant from the National Science Foundation to fund the Second International Workshop on Lysenkoism, hosted by the University of Vienna, June 21-23, 2012. The first International Workshop on Lysenkoism, held December 4-5, 2009 at the CUNY Graduate Center and the Harriman Institute at Columbia University, brought together some 30 historians from Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Norway, Russia, and the United States, as well as a large audience from New York various universities (see https://bcc-cuny.digication.com/www.lysenkoworkshop.com/Welcome/published). Selected papers presented at the workshop have been revised into articles which will be published in a forthcoming special issue of the Journal of the History of Biology, co-edited by Professor deJong-Lambert and Associate Professor of the History and Philosophy of Science and Technology at the University of Toronto, Nikolai Krementsov.
