Lehman College Community Band to Give Free Concert June 30

The Lehman College Community Band will give a free concert entitled “Summer Pops” on Saturday, June 30, at 2 p.m. in the Lovinger Theatre. This event is open to the public.

Led by Professor Alan Hollander, the band will perform a “pops” variety, including Broadway favorites, marches, and other arrangements for symphonic wind band by George Gershwin, Percy Grainger, John Philip Sousa, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Cole Porter, and others. Joining the band will be members of the Lehman band literature workshop.

A senior college of the City University of New York, Lehman is located at Goulden Avenue and Bedford Park Boulevard in the northwest Bronx and is accessible by bus as well as both the 4 and D subway lines. Attended parking is available for $5.
