BRONX, N.Y.—The Lehman Chamber Players will kick off their musical season at Lehman College with a performance of works by Loeffler, Ravel and Faure on Sunday, September 30, at 2 p.m. The public is invited to the free concert, which will be held in the Recital Hall on the third floor of the Music Building. Seating is limited.
The program will include Loeffler’s Two Rhapsodies for Oboe, Viola and Piano; Ravel’s Sonata for Violin and Cello; and Faure’s brilliant Piano Quartet in C minor Opus 15.
Members of the Chamber Players include critically acclaimed violinist Anton Miller and violist Rita Porfiris, professors of violin and viola at New York University and the Hartt College of Music in Connecticut; cellist Hamilton Berry; oboist Alan Hollander and pianist Diana Mittler-Battipaglia, professors of music at Lehman College.
A senior college of the City University of New York, Lehman is located on Goulden Avenue and Bedford Park Boulevard West in the northwest Bronx and is accessible by bus as well as the #4 and “D” subway lines. Parking is available for a $5 fee.
