Lehman College to Celebrate Constitution Day Oct. 11

BRONX, NY—Fordham University Professor of Law Joel R. Reidenberg will discuss “Privacy in Public” during Lehman College’s annual celebration of Constitution Day on Thursday, October 11. This event, which is free and open to the community, will begin at 11 a.m. in the Lovinger Theatre.

constitutionProf. Reidenberg holds the Stanley D. and Nikki Waxberg Chair in Law and is the founding academic director of the Center on Law and Information Policy at Fordham University School of Law. He has served as the president of Fordham University’s Faculty Senate and previously was associate vice president for academic affairs and associate chief academic officer of the University.

In his publications, he has explored both information privacy and information technology law and policy. He teaches courses in intellectual property law, internet law and information privacy. He has served as an expert adviser to the U.S. Congress, the Federal Trade Commission and the European Commission. He has also chaired the Section on Defamation and Privacy of the Association of American Law Schools (the academic society for American law professors) and is a former chair of the Association’s Section on Law and Computers.

A graduate of Dartmouth College, Prof. Reidenberg holds a J.D. from Columbia University and both a D.E.A. (droit international économique) and a Ph.D. in law from the Université de Paris.
