BRONX, N.Y.—The Lehman College and Community Chorus will present its annual
Winter Concert on Sunday, December 2, at 2:30 p.m. in the Lehman Concert Hall. Complimentary tickets will be available at the Box Office beginning at 1 p.m. on the day of the performance.
The program will feature works by Mozart including Regina Coeli, Ave Verum, and Vespers K.339. Directed by Lehman Professor Diana Mittler-Battipaglia and accompanied by the Lehman Symphony Orchestra, the 140-member chorus will also perform shorter works by Mendelssohn, Dawson, Handel and multicultural selections. In addition, the program will feature the first movement of Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante for violin and viola, a polka by Johann Strauss, and a sing-along for the audience.
Members of the chorus and soloists include Lehman students, alumni, faculty, staff and a broad selection of residents from many communities in the Bronx and the greater New York area.
A senior college of the City University of New York, Lehman is located at Goulden Avenue and Bedford Park Boulevard in the northwest Bronx and is accessible by bus as well as the 4 and “D” subway lines.
