The CUNY School of Professional Studies is delighted to announce that Rio Guerrero, an adjunct assistant professor in the SPS graduate certificate program in immigration law, has been named one of 2012’s “Best Lawyers Under 40” by the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA). Presented at NAPABA’s anniversary gala and celebration dinner on November 17, 2012, these awards recognize talented Asian Pacific American attorneys under the age of 40 who have achieved prominence in their respective areas of law while demonstrating an unwavering dedication to the APA community.
Attorney Guerrero also received a “Contributions to Excellence” award from the Filipino-American National Historical Society (FANHS) in 2012; he has been a member of the SPS adjunct faculty since 2007. A distinguished Edward V. Sparer Fellow of Brooklyn Law School, Attorney Guerrero also holds one baccalaureate degree in economics and a second in international studies as a Dean’s Scholar of the American University of Washington D.C.
