CUNYAC's basketball season came to an end after two NCAA Tournament games, four ECAC tournament games, and five NJCAA Region XV Tournament basketball games. Baruch, Brooklyn, Staten Island, and John Jay represented the CUNYAC in NCAA and ECAC play while BMCC, Bronx, Hostos, and Queensborough represented in NJCAA Region XV play. Both men's CSI and women's Baruch suffered two close defeats in the NCAA Tournament. John Jay would be the only men's team to advance to the ECAC semifinals but they went up against the #1 seed Richard Stockton and lost 67-53. Brooklyn's women's team, the #1 seed, cruised through the quarterfinals and semifinals and found themselves in the championship game against the #2 seed Hartwick. Unfortunately, Brooklyn lost a heartbreaker 67-62. In the quarterfinals of the NJCAA Region XV tournament, #6 Bronx faced #3 Hostos and the Broncos came up on top 61-57. Bronx then advanced to the Championship game after defeating the #2 seed Rockland 91-82. However, Bronx was unable to defeat the #1 seed Sullivan. Sullivan won the championship with a 81-69 win.
