— Selected From a Nationwide Search, Keller Has Experience in Education, Administration and Technology in Both the Private and Non-Profit Sectors —
FLUSHING, NY, June 27, 2013—Queens College President James L. Muyskens announced today that William Keller will be the school’s new Vice President for Finance and Administration, effective July 15. Keller, a Port Washington, New York, resident, was selected after a nationwide search. He comes to the college with considerable experience: Since 2005, he has held the same position at Kingsborough Community College.
Keller will manage the Budget Office, Buildings & Grounds, Campus Facilities, the Office of Converging Technologies (OCT), and Security. “Bill’s comprehensive career experience in the fields of education, administration and technology will prove invaluable for this vital position and the areas that will report to him,” says Muyskens.
Keller holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania, an MA in education from SUNY Albany, and an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business. At the outset of his career, he taught social studies in metropolitan New York public schools. Keller has held positions at Deloitte & Touche, Lehman Brothers, and the New York City Health & Hospitals Corporation, and is a former Deputy Commissioner for the city’s Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications. He began his career at Kingsborough after five years with Connecticut-based Gartner Inc., a technology research and advisory firm.
