Queens Courier Spotlights Judge Margaret Parisi-McGowan (’87)

The Queens Courier’s Spotlight on Justice series recently focused on alum Judge Margaret Parisi-McGowan (’87) and her work on the Queens County Family Court. Judge Parisi-McGowan first served as a housing court judge in the Queens County Civil Court before being appointed to the Family Court in 2006 by Mayor Michael Bloomberg. “You save a lot of kids’ lives and turn families around,” she said. “Sometimes it’s sad and emotionally draining, but it’s rewarding because you turn around a lot of families.”
