NEW YORK, NY – October 24, 2013 –Baruch College invites corporate professionals and the media to the 6th Annual Symposium on Sustainable Business on November 1. The event is co-sponsored by Baruch’s Robert Zicklin Center for Corporate Integrity and CCI-Corporate Communications International in partnership with the National Investor Relations Institute, and the New York Society of Security Analysts.
Industry experts will talk about current trends in corporate non-financial and integrated reporting in three separate discussions. The day starts off with “Setting the Standards,” featuring experts who set the framework for corporate disclosure of environmental, social and governance impacts. Other discussions will feature the benefits and challenges of implementing integrated/non-financial reporting and how users are leveraging this information to make better investment decisions. Panelists include representatives from the Global Reporting Initiative, the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board, American Electric Power, Prudential Financial, Domini Social Investments and more.
