Acting Commissioner of the New York State Division on Human Rights and former New York City Council Member Helen Foster (’92) joined other city and state partners in celebrating the groundbreaking of Boston Road, a new 154- unit permanent support residence for older adults.
Boston Road is one of the first to use the New York State Medicaid Redesign Team capital funding in hopes to employ housing as a tactic to reduce health care costs. In addition to funding by the NYS Medicaid Design Team, Boston Road also received funds from the NYS Homeless Housing and Assistance Program, NYS Office of Mental Health and Reso A funds from City Council Member Helen Foster.
