November is Graduate School Awareness Month

November 5, 2013 | Medgar Evers College

Monday was the official kick off of Graduate School Awareness Month and Medgar Evers College is pulling out all the stops to ensure every student is aware of the educational opportunities available to them.

The Career Management Services Center will host a series of workshops and events that will provide students with information about pursuing their graduate studies and assist them planning and preparing for the transition.  The highly anticipated month kicked off today, Monday, November 4, 2013 in AB-1.  Recruiters from St. Joseph’s College are on campus from 9:00 am to 2:00pm available to discuss their programs, admissions process, and financial aid.  A dozen colleges and universities will be in the same location throughout the month ready to meet with students.

The Career Management Services Center will also host workshops on Writing Your Personal Statement and the high demand Graduate School Practice Exam, both presented by Kaplan Test Prep.  In addition, and in collaboration with the PBI director, a recruiter from Clark Atlanta University will be conducting a day and evening  information session on what graduate school recruiters look for and more.

For a complete calendar of events see the schedule below or contact the Career Management Services Center for more information 718.270.6055.
