BRONX, N.Y.— The Lehman College and Community Chorus will present its annual free Winter Concert on Sunday, December 1, at 2:30 p.m. in the Lehman Concert Hall. Complimentary tickets will be available at the Box Office beginning at 1 p.m. on the day of the performance.
The program will feature Mozart’s Vesperae de Dominica K.321 and excerpts from Vivaldi’s Gloria RV 589. Directed by Lehman Professor Diana Mittler-Battipaglia and accompanied by the Lehman Symphony Orchestra, the 130-member chorus will also perform shorter works by Victoria, Mendelssohn, Dawson, Handel, and multicultural selections. In addition, the program will feature the second movement of the Sinfonia Concertante for winds by Mozart, a march by Johann Strauss and a sing-along for the audience.
Members of the chorus and soloists include Lehman students, alumni, faculty, staff, and a broad selection of residents from many communities in the Bronx and the greater New York area.
A senior college of the City University of New York, Lehman is located at Goulden Avenue and Bedford Park Boulevard in the northwest Bronx and is accessible by bus as well as the 4 and “D” subway lines. Attended parking is available for a $5 fee.
