Saturday, December 21st, Medgar Evers College and The People of the Sun Middle Passage Collective partnered for the annual “Feed the Need” and Kwanzaa celebration. The event supports men, women and children living in shelters throughout the city. The festivities included spoken word, dance, song, food and gifts for the children and adults in attendance.
The event was truly vital this year as the nation continues to grapple with financial strain. MEC faculty and staff turned out for the event, serving food, preparing gifts for distribution and entertaining participants. A great time was had by all! See photos from the event, below.
