Film Premier: Forward Ever: The Killing of a Revolution

Medgar Evers College (MEC) is proud to present Forward Ever: The Killing of a Revolution.  This compelling film, directed and produced by Bruce Paddington, is an epic documentary that highlights the revolutionary government of Grenada and the coup that brought about the assassination of leader Maurice Bishop.

The invasion of Grenada by US forces in 1983 echoed around the world and put an end to a unique experiment in Caribbean politics. What were the circumstances that led to this extraordinary chain of events? This comprehensive, gripping and revealing documentary tells the story of the Grenada revolution as never before. The film features extensive, previously unseen file footage, as well as old and new interviews with many of the key players of the time.

The screening of Forward Ever: The Killing of a Revolution will begin Friday, June 20, 2014 in Founders Auditorium(1650 Bedford Avenue ~ Brooklyn, N.Y. 11225).  Doors open at 6:00 pm.  The film will be followed by a panel discussion.
