Alumni Wine and Cheese Social — New Date

Medgar Evers College (MEC) is pleased to announce that a new date has officially been set for our Alumni Wine & Cheese Social, scheduled for Tuesday, February 24, 2015.   The event was originally planned for January 27, 2015, but winter storm Juno led to the cancellation of the gathering.  The social will give MEC graduates an opportunity to reconnect with other alumni in a relaxed setting in the beautiful new Welcome Center while enjoying tasty cheeses and delicious wines.

While on campus, guests are welcome to take self-guided tours of the campus’ state-of-the art facilities, including the newly-renovated Charles Evans Inniss Memorial Library which features an extensive collection of monographs, eBooks, audiovisual items, and much more and the Science, Health and Technology Building, which boasts fully-equipped, cutting-edge laboratories, the Skylite Café, offices, and a newly-introduced faculty lounge.

MEC Alumni who are interested in attending the Wine & Cheese Social are requested to RSVP to Valerie Acham at on or before Tuesday, February 17, 2015.  Please share this message with any MEC alumni who would like to attend the event.
