On March 2, the Graduate NYC and the College Completion Innovation Fund’s Advisory Board held a meeting for the CCIF’s funded projects and guests at Guttman Community College.
The event featured a breakfast and an introduction of the newly selected Round Two funded projects, followed by presentations from Guttman Community College, Hostos Community College, and NYC Outward Bound Schools on the initial implementations of their Round One funded projects to address persistence and completion among the students they serve.
Guttman’s CCIF-funded project is the implementation and taking to scale of the Starfish early-alert advising system. The goals are for faculty and staff to integrate Starfish into their current activities and to utilize the system to support other features of the Guttman model to increase persistence. Joan M. Lucariello, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, Laura M. Gambino, Associate Dean for Assessment and Technology, Danielle Insalaco-Egan, Director of Student Support and Academic Achievement, and Elisa Hertz, Director of the Center for College Effectiveness, represented the College at the event.
