Casey Cipriani, ’13, has joined Women and Hollywood as news editor.
The New York-based writer, who studied theater and cinema at Northeastern University in Boston, had been acting for five years when her passion for blogging about arts and entertainment led her to the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism. “The J-School prepared me for the variety of jobs that I’ve taken on,” said Cipriani, who took the subject concentration in Arts & Culture Reporting. “Maintaining the relationships I made there has been a great support system.”
Cipriani has written for Vulture, The New York Times, New York Daily News, Salon and Slate, but she’s especially proud to contribute to Women and Hollywood, bringing issues facing women in the entertainment industry to light.
