Baruch College Hosts “Top 40 Under 40 in PR/Communications”

NEW YORK, NY- September 28, 2016-The Weissman School of Arts & Sciences at Baruch College presents “Top 40 Under 40 in PR/Communications” on Friday, October 14, 2016 at 4:00 p.m.. This panel representing the top 40 Under 40, acknowledged by PRWeek as “young PR pros who get results, never settle for second best, and represent the future of communications,” will address the latest trends in the communications and marketing field.

This event is free and open to the public. Registration is required.

Panelists include Shante Bacon, CEO/Founder, 135th Street Agency; Michael Gonda, VP, Corp. Communications, Chobani, LLC; and Marc Johnson, VP, Digital Strategy, APCO Worldwide. Baruch College adjunct professor Peter Horowitz will serve as moderator.

Shaunte Bacon is the CEO and Founder of 135th Street Agency, a strategic communications and experiential marketing firm that specializes in campaigns researching youth consumers and influential business professionals.

Michael Gonda is Vice President of Corporate Communications and Public Affairs at Chobani, a leading natural food company and America’s #1 Greek Yogurt brand. He is responsible for all strategic communications initiatives for the company, including external and internal communications, consumer and nutrition communications, government relations, executive communications, and consumer engagement through the consumer loyalty team.

Marc Johnson is a Vice President of Digital Strategy in the StudioOnline division of APCO Worldwide. Mr. Johnson manages the digital practice for the New York office. He has created winning strategies that drive specific business goals for numerous consumer and association brands, including MasterCard, PepsiCo, Red Bull, and eBay among many others.

Peter Horowitz has been active in corporate communications and marketing for 35 years. He is a frequent speaker at U.S. and international communications conferences and symposia and has been a guest lecturer at several schools of journalism and corporate communications. He is currently serving as an adjunct professor at Baruch College.
